White Card
Program Overview
From July 1 2008, the “Green Card” training program will be replaced by the National Construction Industry Induction Program (White Card) program. The White Card program is designed to provide knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety principles and practices used on Australian Building and Construction and Civil sites.
Program Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, participants will have the relevant skills required to gain entry and work safely on a construction site in Australia.
Program Content
This program will involve training in:
· Protective clothing and equipment and safe use of plant and equipment (responsibilities)
· Licences and tickets
· Safety signs
· Site emergency and evacuation
· Duty of care
· Hazard identification
· Clean, Safe and Tidy Worksites
